Nanlite 15.7" Octagonal Softbox for FM Mount – Soft Light Modifier
Create smooth, flattering illumination with the Nanlite 15.7" Octagonal Softbox for FM Mount. Designed for professional photography and video production, this compact octagonal softbox transforms compatible Nanlite LED fixtures into a softer, more controlled light source with a natural-looking wraparound effect.
The octagonal design produces an even spread of light while helping create attractive, rounded catchlights, making it an effective LED light modifier for portraits, interviews, product photography, group shots, and video production. Its reflective silver interior helps maximize light output while the removable front diffusion gives you greater control over the character and intensity of the illumination.
Fast, Tool-Free Setup
The softbox features a spring-loaded rod system that makes assembly quick and straightforward. Snap the rods into position to expand the softbox, then press the release button to collapse it when you're ready to pack up. This streamlined design makes it particularly convenient for production environments where lighting needs to be assembled and broken down quickly.
Adjustable Light Control
Customize the quality and direction of your light using the included removable modifiers. The front diffusion panel produces a softer, more diffused output, while removing it creates a brighter and more direct lighting effect.
A removable fabric eggcrate grid provides additional control over light spill, helping direct illumination toward your subject and limit unwanted light across the surrounding scene. The combination of diffusion, grid, and reflective interior gives you multiple ways to shape the output for different shooting situations.
FM Mount Compatibility
Built specifically for Nanlite's FM Mount LED lighting fixtures, the softbox is compatible with select FS, FC, and Forza series lights equipped with an FM Mount. Its dedicated speed ring provides a secure connection between the softbox and compatible fixture, allowing you to quickly add soft, controlled illumination to your lighting setup.
