Can’t recommend this enough. Previously I had the smallrig hawk lock handle extension to reinforce Sony’s xlr handle (which is made out of plastic).sadly the hawklock fixes to the handle itself. This bracket makes me trust the handle enough to carry far more weight on the camera rig itself because it is a solid piece of aluminum that helps anchor the rear of the handle to the base of xlr handles via screws as well as to the body itself. Only downsides are you lose the use of one 1/4 20s (which you usually use with most cages; I actually cut part of my small rig cage to accommodate for the shape bracket; which was totally worth it).

Long story short, great bracket. Makes your camera more solid and usable with the stock xlr handle, affordable, better than anything out there.

Cons: could have came with a nato rail attached to fix it to the top of the handle. This would create more rigidity in the handle and add more mounting points.
